Hands-On: Assists & Adjusts CPD
A 2-day workshop for qualified yoga teachers ready to deepen their hands-on skills with confidence, care, and nuance.
Touch is powerful - it can ground, reassure, and open up a practice in ways words alone can't. But it also carries psychological weight, and getting it right means understanding both the body and the person in it. Over two days, you'll build a toolkit of safe, effective hands-on assists, grounded in real anatomical understanding, alongside the subtler skills of consent, communication, and reading what a student actually needs in the moment.
This workshop blends physical precision with psychological insight. Expect practical, repeatable techniques for assists and adjusts, honest conversation about consent and boundaries, and a real look at the architecture of asana.
By the end, you'll leave with assists you can use immediately, a clearer framework for consent-based teaching, and a deeper understanding of why touch matters so much in the room.
This course is registered as CE hours with Yoga Alliance.

Elodie Frati
Assists & Adjust TrainnerElodie is a former professional contemporary dancer who moved into yoga teaching in 2013, training across Rocket, Jivamukti, Vinyasa, Nidra, Yin, and Mandala. She sees these yoga styles as informing one another rather than existing in isolation. For her, yoga has always been as much about being a person as it is about the body.
That interest in the body led her to train as an osteopath, specialising in treating performing artists. She has taught anatomy on London's most reputable teacher training courses as well as led teacher training for Hotpod Yoga in her time as head of teaching. Her experience gives her a detailed understanding of dynamic alignment, injury, and how hands-on work actually affects the body. She's since completed a Master's in Sports and Exercise Psychology, which shapes how she thinks about touch, consent, and the psychological dynamics between teacher and student. She has also completed her Reformer training with STOTT.
